Mike's Adventure in Macau
Spring is always a great time for travelling. Last spring holidays, I planned a trip with my friend Alex to Macau and Hong Kong. They are small islands near southern China.
Alex and I took a flight from Beijing to Macau. The flight was short and not tiring. When we arrived in Macau, we had to take a taxi to the hotel. It was a pleasant hotel with a swimming pool and several restaurants. We could see the ocean from our hotel room window.
On our first day, we travelled around the small island of Macau and saw many old buildings, temples and very famous old churches. I was happy to see ancient things there.
The next day, Alex and I decided to take a boat to Hong Kong. It's a big city with a large mountain. The weather was not good, so we just walked around the city and ate 'dim sum', a Chinese delicious food, at a nice restaurant.
On our final day, we visited the Macau Tower which is one of the attractive landmarks there. We took a lift to the sightseeing level where we admired the splendid scenery. In the evening, we got on an airplane and returned to Beijing.
It was a very relaxing holiday, and I hope to visit Macau and Hong Kong again in the future.
